Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information CleanCartList collects during early access and how it is used.

Effective September 15, 2026

Information we collect

  • Account information, such as your name and email address.
  • Authentication information needed to secure your account. Passwords are stored as protected password hashes, not readable passwords.
  • Email addresses submitted for early-access updates.
  • Technical and security information, such as request logs, timestamps, device or browser details and IP-related security signals.
  • Product activity, such as search and barcode-scan counts, scan results and whether a scanned product was added to a list.
  • First-party measurement events, such as public page views, account creation, product searches, barcode scans, app-install actions and Plus-interest actions. These events may include the page path, referring website domain and campaign labels, but the measurement table does not store an IP address or raw browser fingerprint.
  • Subscription status and billing identifiers when paid plans become available. Payment card details will be collected and stored by the payment processor, not CleanCartList.
  • Information you choose to add to CleanCartList as product and household features become available.

How we use information

  • To create, secure and support your account.
  • To provide requested product updates and beta invitations.
  • To operate, troubleshoot and improve CleanCartList.
  • To measure free-plan usage, provide membership features and administer subscriptions when billing is enabled.
  • To prevent abuse, investigate security events and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing and selling

CleanCartList does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that operate essential hosting, database, authentication, email-delivery and payment-processing services, or when disclosure is legally required.

We do not allow food brands to purchase favorable ingredient results.

Cookies and account sessions

CleanCartList uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect accounts and operate the website. A temporary per-tab session identifier may be stored in session storage to avoid double-counting first-party measurement events. CleanCartList respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this measurement. Additional third-party analytics or advertising cookies will be disclosed before they are introduced.

Retention and choices

We retain information only as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain security records and meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction or deletion of your account information by contacting support.

Security and children

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. CleanCartList is intended for adults managing household shopping and is not directed to children under 13.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
